This is a compilation of information from the Okanogan County Historical Society relating to the life of frontier photographer Frank S. Matsura. Matsura lived in Okanogan County in Washington State from 1903-1913, first in the town of Conconully and later in the town of Okanogan. Curiosity about his life led the Society to research his life prior to 1903, which resulted in contact with some of his relatives in Japan. His photography, particularly of Native Americans, has been featured in books, the Smithsonian, and other museums. Paperback, 65 p., 2009.
